ABOUT ME

Hi, I’m Sandra Walker, and MustEatFood.com is where I share the recipes that have earned a permanent place in my own kitchen. These are the kinds of meals you make again because they work — not because they look good in a photo, but because they fit into real days and real routines.

How This Started

Cooking has been part of my life for as long as I can remember, mostly in ordinary, unplanned moments. A few years ago, I was making my slow cooker pulled pork — a recipe I’d made plenty of times before. That evening, I was juggling a few things and trying to get dinner started quickly, and I rushed through the browning step instead of taking my time with it.

The pork cooked through and dinner was perfectly fine, but it didn’t have the depth it usually did. That small reminder stuck with me and reinforced how easy it is to miss simple details when life feels busy. That moment stuck with me and quietly shaped the way I think about food.

I’m not a professional chef. Everything I’ve learned came from cooking at home, adjusting recipes when something didn’t quite turn out, and paying attention to what made meals easier instead of more complicated. Over time, I started writing things down — small notes, tweaks, and reminders — until those notes naturally turned into this website.
