Is Easton, PA the best place for a drink and a bite in the Lehigh Valley? We say yes. But we’re biased: we’ve spent months sipping and sampling. That’s why we’re here to help you find the right spot to maximize your night out—from historic taverns to modern cocktail dens.
Rivals Sports Bar & Restaurant
$ | (610) 392-2932 | WEBSITE

Sports and cheesesteaks are a spiritual pairing. Rivals has many variations on its regular lineup, and the Hawaiian cheesesteak is the best of the bunch—especially when you enjoy it with the fresh roll, generous filling, and amazing flavor. We also like the wings and pizza, even if they’re on the typical sports bar side. Grab a beer or some other drink to wash it down, but choose your parking spot wisely—wouldn’t want to miss the next Eagles touchdown.
Pints and Pies Pub
$ | (610) 438-1456 | WEBSITE

It’s a pub, so you better be getting wings. Pints and Pies’ dirty wings are far better for sharing—and more satisfying—than those bland chicken strips. The pub has even embraced the saucy wing fad, like a crispy batch whose coating opens to reveal tender meat underneath. (Pints and Pies wisely skipped the overly sweet options, though.
If you have no idea what we’re talking about, honestly good for you.) The wings themselves are some of the best any pub serves, probably because they don’t taste like they were sitting under a heat lamp all afternoon.
Three Mugs Pub & Restaurant
$ | (610) 829-1211 | WEBSITE

This is the kind of hearty pub fare that neighborhood spots are built for. Three Mugs calls their Delmonico sandwich a lunch option, but the medium-cooked steak, sautéed onions, and American cheese are substantial enough to be a proper dinner. There’s a reason it comes with a fork. The Mugs Cuban, with its savory shredded pork and pablano aioli, follows the same satisfying pattern. At around $15-18 for these sandwiches, you’re getting serious value.
The sweet and sassy wings and that Lasagna soup—which regulars swear is the best they’ve ever had—complete the picture of a place that understands comfort. With fair prices, attentive service, and a nice atmosphere, it’s easy to see why locals are making this their new go-to.
County Seat Spirits at Lehigh Valley BBQ
$$ | (484) 544-9612 | WEBSITE

None of County Seat’s spirits are remarkable, but the bourbon is decent. Then again, we are in a barbecue joint. Order the peach version that comes with a highly lickable sauce rim.
The Coop Sports Bar & Kitchen
$ | (610) 250-7849 | WEBSITE

Regulars at The Coop swear by the Caribbean jerk wings, but if you’re new to this spot, let me steer you toward those colossal chicken wings. We always opt for the classic buffalo style, whether you’re sharing an order or making it your main meal. Both come with a side of ranch that makes watching the game with a plate of wings feel downright essential.
College Hill Tavern
$ | (610) 829-5470 | WEBSITE

When Lafayette students and families with kids are your guiding principle, go for the adult grilled cheese. The burgers are pretty basic, but the pierogis they serve alongside earn the plate a few extra points. It’s a nice meal if you’re getting drinks elsewhere after the game.
Rip Van Winkles’ Pub
$ | (610) 258-8873 | WEBSITE

Even the loudest karaoke ballad won’t drown out the crunch of tortilla chips and melted cheese in Rip Van Winkles’ nachos. This is simply not dive bar food. The menu has plenty of other classic pub fare, if that’s what you’re looking for. Save yourself from this avalanche of a dish.
Bar Bix at Townley House
$ | (484) 544-4801 | WEBSITE

This place is great at first, but it gets so busy that you’ll be distracted from whatever is happening around you—maybe a lively conversation or a bartender crafting a secret Toni Negroni. Arrive early to snag a spot before the crowd rolls in.
Stemie’s 1818 Tavern
$$ | (610) 258-0064 | WEBSITE

At Stemie’s, some people order non-alcoholic beers in a boisterous tavern, and you really don’t need to do that. If you insist, the only acceptable drink order is this crisp but complex martini from their extensive menu with gin, vermouth, and other classic ingredients. It’ll keep you invigorated during that burger you decided you loved by the first bite.
The Lafayette Bar
$ | (610) 252-0711 | WEBSITE

Cocktails are a great choice at The Lafayette Bar because you can lean against the polished mahogany counter and sip away without missing a beat of the live jazz. The bar’s signature old fashioned has the classic bourbon base, plus house-made bitters and a smoked cherry, which make the $14 price feel completely justified.
