Westminster’s breakfast scene is brimming with options, each offering its own morning magic. Some excel at fluffy pancakes, others specialize in savory skillets, and a few are perfect for leisurely brunches that involve bottomless coffee and lively chatter that welcomes the day. With these spots drawing crowds every weekend, it’s a good thing you have this updated list to navigate the best.
Early Bird Restaurant-Bradburn Village
$ | (303) 469-9641 | WEBSITE

Westminster has a ridiculous number of places where you can eat pancakes and omelets—but there aren’t many spots that specialize in the homemade sauces and gravies known for breakfast. If that’s what you’re looking for, head to Early Bird Restaurant. Located in the Bradburn Village area, the casual space is warm and welcoming, and it tends to stay packed with families enjoying generous plates of food.
You can choose from chicken and waffles, biscuit and gravy, or the hot chicken biscuit sandwich—or you can do the responsible thing, and get a combo with their amazing homemade hot sauce.
The Brunch House
$ | (720) 880-9944 | WEBSITE

The Brunch House is tucked away in a clean, elegant new space that’s still a work in progress—but step inside and you’ll find a bright, welcoming spot that feels like a cheerful neighborhood kitchen. We typically order the Mexican skillet with pancakes on the side, but the supreme skillet is great as well, and you should try both if you’re with a hungry crew. Don’t be surprised if there’s a short wait on weekends.
Put your name in and then kill some time sipping coffee while the friendly, sweet staff whips up your order with fantastic, speedy service. The Tres Leches French Toast is absolutely delicious, and everything comes with excellent green chili—though veggie sauce options are sparse. Portions are generous and prices are reasonable, making it a spot worth returning to for that Latin fare shine.
IHOP
$ | (303) 410-8900 | WEBSITE

Need something satisfying, but not too complicated? Somewhere you can eat with people who want classic comfort without the fuss? Choose IHOP. Technically open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, the kid-friendly spot has handicap accessibility throughout, easy-to-use doors, and changing tables in the restrooms. The food is excellent and always hot, with generous portions and fair prices starting around $12.
Their specialty is cookie butter pancakes, and even the regular versions are fluffy and delicious. Get them, in addition to the wide variety of choices, and supplement with the skilled and pleasant service that makes customers feel special.
Snooze, an A.M. Eatery
$ | (303) 481-9925 | WEBSITE

In a bustling Westminster strip mall, Snooze serves breakfast burritos and avocado toast that you can enjoy with the whole family at your table. All the dishes are good, but we’re partial to the flavorful Bravocado Toast and the filling breakfast burritos. You can find similar—or even better—breakfast spots without the wait for half the price, but a weekend brunch premium should be expected.
Ideally, you’re either here with kids who need accommodating options, or you’ve used their online wait-list.
Goody’s Eatery
$ | (720) 328-8638 | WEBSITE

If you find yourself on a weekend morning in Westminster looking for a bustling diner with a line out the door, you’ve stumbled upon Goody’s Eatery. The interior, where you’ll see a lot of families and regulars spread out across simple booths and tables, is comfortably straightforward. They don’t offer elaborate brunch platters with endless sides, so you’re better off focusing on their specialties—like the excellent banana bread french toast and the hearty sirloin steak breakfast burrito.
Unlike a lot of trendy breakfast spots, the menu stays true to its roots, featuring mostly southwestern classics like the standout green chili, which you can even buy a jar of to take home.
Village Inn
$ | (303) 452-3774 | WEBSITE

If your breakfast bills at trendy brunch spots rival the monthly rent for a parking spot in the city, you’re better off going to Village Inn. For $12.99 (for the Rio Grand skillet) or $9.99 (for the avocado toast), you get a satisfying meal that won’t break the bank. This place is bustling, so if towers of hashbrowns and unlimited coffee refills turn your morning into a family-friendly feast, feel free to cheer each other on.
Village Inn is one of our favorite spots to start the day with kids who eat for free, so invite a bunch of friends to fuel up before whatever shenanigans you have planned for the rest of the day.
Le Peep® 88th & Wadsworth
$ | (303) 425-1634 | WEBSITE

Is it cheesy to say that the name of this restaurant is exactly how we feel about it? Yeah, but it’s too late now. Situated on the corner of 88th and Wadsworth, this welcoming single-story spot has warm pendant lighting, a counter with stools, and great music every morning. In addition to generous portions for around $15 per person, they have several classics to choose from that come with a welcome twist on familiar favorites.
Our favorite is the one that comes with both Baja Benny and biscuits and gravy. Add some standout hollandaise sauce along with their flavorful eggs Benedict. We’d come here just for those two things.
Big Mama’s Burritos
$ | (303) 429-1885 | WEBSITE

One of the more rundown-looking breakfast spots, Big Mama’s Burritos has lower prices and larger portions compared to most places in the neighborhood. You get to the dining room via a cramped entrance that probably looked exactly the same in 1997. The small, narrow space is crowded, casual, and mostly bright except for fluorescent lights that make you feel like you’re in a school cafeteria.
You’ll get some delicious breakfast burritos to start your meal, and the extremely tasty egg, cheese, potatoes, and bacon option is one of the best in Westminster. Skip the extra hot spicy orders, but not the egg and potato burrito that perfectly complements all the hearty and affordable morning food.
Superfruit Republic – Westminster
$ | (303) 927-7622 | WEBSITE

This bright, modern spot is one of the few breakfast places that focuses entirely on fresh superfoods instead of traditional greasy options, which gives the dishes a distinct vitality. The extensive menu has smoothie bowls and acai creations portioned for individual enjoyment, and you can get a wide range of other healthy choices from gluten-free granola to vegan wraps and protein-packed smoothies.
Superfruit Republic used to have limited customization, but now you can fully personalize every order with add-ons and substitutions. If this delights you because you can get exactly what you want without compromising on health goals, we completely understand.
