This pleasant, clean spot gets busy during peak hours, but if you show up early, the quick service staff might be able to show you to an open seat at a table.
The menu offers consistent, well-made options, but talk to the staff about what you like, and they’ll point you toward the juicy meat and high-quality ingredients that keep repeat customers coming back.
O Pit Dog
Lunch at this authentic Brazilian spot feels like a quick trip to São Paulo, one where you’ll devour crispy X-Bacon Cheddar burgers piled high with cheese and fried cassava that’s perfectly golden. This burger joint first made its name as a hidden gem serving juicy, no-frills burgers. Now they have a reputation that’s very CURB All Grown Up. The standout order is a double cheeseburger for €18, and there are classic sodas and milkshakes.
While we do miss the simpler, more affordable days, the burgers at CURB—with their fresh meat, fragrant cheese, and fluffy buns—are just as delicious as anything from the start.
MARIANUS Hamburgueres Artesanais
This unassuming burger spot is the more casual sibling of the city’s upscale dining scene, and it happens to be tucked away on a side street off the main drag. It’s easy to miss among the surrounding shops and bustling foot traffic, but when you discover it, you’ll get a standout meal full of super-elevated (albeit reasonably priced) burger joint staples.

Not even the warmest family welcome can fill the simple, functional space inside this bustling burger joint near Campo 24 de agosto. But if you can get past Maynard’s no-frills ambiance (or lack thereof), this all-day spot reveals its redeeming qualities: an American-style menu that fills whatever craving is left in your day’s schedule.

Simplex Virtus
Quiet charm and craft beer bliss: those are the main reasons we send friends to Simplex Virtus. This calming restaurant is adorned with homely touches, soothing soundtracks, and, of course, amazing burgers. While the atmosphere stays peaceful throughout the evening, we like to head over early to experience the full relaxed vibe (read: secure the best seats).
