It feels like a cozy cantina crossed with a family kitchen, with warm lighting, colorful decor, and walls adorned with traditional artwork.
As much as you might appreciate the lively mariachi band that serenades guests, the food is the most important aspect here. There are classic ranchera steaks, flavorful fajitas, and salsas that balance spice and freshness perfectly. And like any great Mexican spot, there’s a substantive menu that includes everything from light queso appetizers to generous platters that satisfy any appetite.
Mi Jalisco

Fiesta Azul Tequila House is a great get-to-know-you restaurant, which is why it’s high on our list of great spots for first (or 20th) visits. This casual place is the right size where it’s not crammed-full tiny, but isn’t so big that you’ll be fighting a crowd for a table. The Mexican food is about three steps above most other spots, and they have dishes like Chile Relleno and cheese enchiladas that feel plucked out of the top taquerias in town.
But if you’re really hungry, the burrito loco with steak is one of the best in the city.

On top of ample space inside where you can settle in with family, they have excellent customizable options made with things like tofu or poblano crema.
There are also a couple of great vegetarian choices if you need to stay 100% satisfied when getting your burrito fix at the salsa station.
