The only thing better than eating pizza is eating it with people who don’t judge your crust-to-topping ratio. When you’re with true friends, you can shamelessly claim the last slice or admit you’d rather eat cardboard than pineapple on your pie. You just need a spot where the dough is as honest and the vibe as unpretentious as your crew. Arlington delivers at these 13 pizzerias.
Uzy’s New York Pizza
$ | (682) 320-8282 | WEBSITE

Casual pizza is something you two have been doing for years now, ever since you realized you have the exact same order. Uzy’s New York Pizza in Arlington serves high-quality pies in what’s still a casual setting (there are sports highlights playing in the corner). You can grab a slice for take-out, but ordering a whole Supreme pizza is also a good move.
Mellow Mushroom Arlington
$ | (817) 274-7173 | WEBSITE

Mellow Mushroom Arlington is a vibrant restaurant in Arlington with a lot of pizza. Delicious pies and fresh salads, to be exact. Chicago Deep Dish Pizza
$ | (817) 476-6099 | WEBSITE

Chicago Deep Dish Pizza is about one casual step away from having a Bulls game on TV and Chicago natives in it. And it’s an excellent place to get a deep-dish pie with a friend who doesn’t want anything fussy (but definitely wants pizza). We don’t know who is in charge of the kitchen in here, but that person is always cooking the Chicago Supreme as ordered. Also – it’s got those outdoor tables.
So use this spot before or after meeting up with people in Arlington, or just on a Tuesday night when you’re both free and want really good pizza with perfect crust and tasty sauce on top.

$ | (817) 860-6664 | WEBSITE

Moni’s Pasta & Pizza is an Italian restaurant on Arlington’s main strip that specializes in family-style dining, and is cozy enough that you’ll always feel at home. The options range from pasta to pizza, and depending on how much you love variety, you can order classics like spaghetti and meatballs or chicken piccata directly from the menu, or build your own thin crust pizza with traditional toppings.
The atmosphere is set up a little like a neighborhood trattoria, only with warm lighting, rustic décor, and a heart. Dishes run about $15–$25, making it perfect for a casual meal or celebration.
Papa Murphy’s | Take ‘N’ Bake Pizza
$ | (817) 472-4242 | WEBSITE

And now, a brief note to the people of Arlington: you have it so good. Please allow us to join your pizza runs. Thank you. This take-and-bake spot is one of the most useful non-kitchen appliances in town. In most ways, it’s just a convenient grab-and-go counter, but all the pizzas are around $12-$18, and the space is bright and clean with a cheerful hustle.
If the only thing better than a Friday night is a Friday night with a customizable pie and control over your own crust crispiness, this is your spot.
Cane Rosso Arlington
$$ | (817) 533-3120 | WEBSITE

This is a Neapolitan-style pizza joint in Arlington where each pie comes with housemade mozzarella (of course) and that perfect charred crust. The pizza is really good and the place stays pretty lively, a.k.a. perfect for your weekly craving fix, or going into arguably too much detail about your favorite toppings.

Also – for the purposes of this guide, we’re considering playing unlimited games with a $10 wristband while sipping $3.50 happy hour margaritas in a chill space filled with classic consoles “low-key.” It is Arlington.

Which is to say that this Arlington pizza spot is the kind of place every pizza lover will adore. They make excellent pepperoni, breakfast, and classic pies, and you can/should feel free to grab a pre-made breakfast pizza for any time of day.

Pizza Patrón Matlock Road
$ | (817) 557-9191 | WEBSITE

From the classic pepperoni pizzas to the churros dusted with cinnamon sugar, the food at Pizza Patrón Matlock Road is extremely good. If you have your heart set on eating here, though, we’d recommend calling ahead. They’re not hard to come by, but the place is efficient enough that you might have to wait if you try to walk in. Also, you can have a full meal here for around $15 per person. So coordinate which of you is grabbing the chicken wings, and enjoy.
Domino’s Pizza
$ | (817) 465-7777 | WEBSITE

If pizza is one of your so-called comfort foods, Domino’s should be in your rotation. Because it’s the kind of straightforward, reliable place where the menu is familiar and you can grab a pepperoni pie, but it isn’t as much of a hassle to order from as the 400 other pizza spots in this area.
Come for consistent, satisfying pies and a two-liter soda that might kickstart some major nostalgia for that time you both became briefly obsessed with the idea of ordering delivery every Friday night in 2015.
Boston’s Restaurant & Sports Bar
$ | (817) 633-7773 | WEBSITE

If you’re meeting in Arlington for dinner, there’s a solid chance one of you wants to watch the game and the other is willing to tag along (because, as we’ve already established, you’re friends). To prevent any grumbling about the venue, go to Boston’s. This is a low-key neighborhood sports bar in an area where chain restaurants or generic pubs that feel like airport lounges are the norm. Boston’s is the kind of place that might make eating in Arlington something you start doing more often.
Mama’s Pizza
$ | (817) 795-8700 | WEBSITE
