In case you missed it, our guide to Bastrop’s pizza scene has dozens of spots across town. But if you’re craving the absolute best, this list highlights 8 pizza restaurants that are must-tries in 2026. From wood-fired Neapolitan in downtown to Detroit-style on the outskirts, these are the pies you need to know about.
Bastiano’s
$ | (512) 985-5026 | WEBSITE

Bastiano’s in Bastrop specializes in Italian comfort food that comes with everything from crispy calzones and fresh salads to hearty lasagna and spaghetti with meat sauce. While those are solid family-style entrees, their pizzas with that perfect thin crust are even better. We’re fans of the classic Margherita complete with tangy tomato sauce, creamy mozzarella, and fresh basil as-is. But paired with a scoop of their incredible house-made gelato? It’s really f*cking delicious.
And if you’re not in the mood for a full sit-down meal, Bastiano’s also offers excellent takeout that rivals some of the best pies in Italy—just be sure to order ahead since their small kitchen team means the wait can be worth it for that quality.
Papa Murphy’s | Take ‘N’ Bake Pizza
$ | (512) 308-1200 | WEBSITE

We already were devoted to Papa Murphy’s after countless visits to their original Bastrop location. But now, they have a new spot right in the heart of town that’s become our go-to for pizza nights. This take-and-bake joint lets you customize every pie to your liking—and the result is a fresh, delicious dinner that you should enjoy weekly.
While their Herb Chicken Mediterranean is fantastic as is, they’ll happily swap items at no extra charge (our favorite is the Chicken Garlic with Bacon), and we also love their Keto bowls for those watching carbs. Grab a pizza and family-dine at home while enjoying their famously large salads.
The Mansion at ColoVista

This Bastrop wedding venue serves a stellar example of a classic Texas celebration, with layers of professional service, stunning facilities, and warm hospitality that make every event memorable. And if you’re planning a family gathering, you can trust Julie and the owners to execute it flawlessly as well. But, no matter what, don’t miss the chance to experience The Mansion’s beautiful setting, full of elegant, spacious, occasion-ready comfort and friendly staff attention.
It’s proof that the excellence here goes far beyond just another event space.
Bassano Del Grappa Italian Restaurant & Pizzeria
$ | (512) 321-3393 | WEBSITE

When Bassano Del Grappa opened just north of 21/71 in Bastrop, it quickly became a local favorite. This family-friendly spot offers a diverse menu of Italian classics in a welcoming atmosphere that feels both lively and warm. You’ll find generous portions like the popular chicken calabrese and Michelangelo tortellini, plus their standout non-greasy pizza that’s become the talk of the town.
The affordable lunch menu with soup or salad makes it accessible, while the awesome, attentive staff ensures every visit is pleasant. The space has that great feel with clean restrooms and high chairs for families, and though some dishes might need a touch more seasoning, the overall experience is solid. Even though it’s been around for years now, it’s hard to imagine Bastrop without this authentic Italian gem.
DoubleDave’s Pizzaworks
$ | (512) 303-3283 | WEBSITE

DoubleDave’s Pizzaworks is a solid pizza spot in Bastrop that serves up delicious deep-dish pies, including the Works, with a crust that’s crispy on the edges and soft on the inside. The toppings get a quick broiler treatment for added texture, and the pizza is generally very good. You can also customize your meal at the fresh salad bar.
While delivery times can vary—some orders might take a while—and cheese toppings aren’t always generous, the service is usually friendly, with staff like Caden McCoy and Angel praised for their hard work and welcoming attitudes. The place can get a bit loud inside, so it’s not ideal for quiet chats, and seating can feel a bit cramped, though there are workable options.
Overall, DoubleDave’s delivers a positive experience with excellent pizza and dedicated staff, making it a go-to for a satisfying meal.
Neighbor’s Kitchen & Yard
$ | (512) 988-7036 | WEBSITE

There’s pizza, and then there’s Neighbor’s Kitchen & Yard’s pizza. After visiting as a casual spot, this dog-friendly restaurant has a patio set up overlooking the Colorado River behind the covered outdoor area. If you don’t grab a slice to savor all evening while enjoying the live music, you’d be making a mistake. Neighbor’s Kitchen & Yard’s farm street pizza is loaded with toppings, spicy, and hearty with a touch of smokiness—officially the best pizza we’ve tasted in Bastrop.
Also on their menu are fresh salads with their signature OG dip and chips, tiramisu porter described as to die for, and a variety of drinks that pair perfectly with the stunning river views.
Domino’s Pizza
$ | (512) 321-0303 | WEBSITE

Formerly a chain known for quick delivery, Domino’s Pizza has established itself as a reliable option in Bastrop, TX in their convenient location. They focus on classic American pizza with straightforward toppings—like pepperoni and cheese—alongside speedy service. It’s the perfect spot to grab dinner with the family over a couple of large pies and some sides, like the aforementioned pepperoni, fresh salads, and garlic bread.
Our favorite’s the fresh pizza, a tasty combination of quality ingredients and fast service that we wish was available every night.
Hunt Brother’s Pizza

Hunt Brother’s Pizza is a standout in a town that’s already full of pizza joints. It has a straightforward setup perfect for quick meals, affordable prices, and a menu of classic pies and specialty options, from pepperoni to breakfast pizzas. We love the simple pepperoni pizza, which comes with quality toppings included in the price (go with the fresh dough, rich sauce, and melty cheese), along with enough slices to satisfy any appetite.
