But when it’s full, the straightforward counter service works just fine for a quick pickup.
When satisfying dishes like savory lo mein, crispy sesame chicken, and steaming fried rice hit your car seat, you’ll stop questioning the fluorescent lighting and basic décor.
La Colombiana Bar & Grill

When you want a quick meal to bring home, grab Sonrisa’s generous order of pupusas (they’re hot and cheesy with that perfect homemade texture). Or go for their special deal on Wednesdays and Saturdays where each pupusa costs just $1.75.
The place could use a refresh, but the friendly staff makes you feel welcome, and the food stays piping hot even after a 20-minute bike ride. Despite some parking hassles, the flavors and quality make it worth the trip.
3 Flags Bakery

This incredible Portuguese bakery makes an easy nominee to the city’s Walnut Pound Cake Hall of Fame and the Portuguese Rolls Hall of Fame. In other words, it’s the kind of place where everything is good (even the free samples of their orange pastry). So after you’ve decided on a linguica pie, a plate of blueberry tart will pass by, and you might wonder if it’s weird to do both. It’s not. We’re in the age of scrolling while watching TV—more is more.
Mimi & Pop’s Ice Cream Shop

This cheerful ice cream shop sits in a bustling Central Falls spot and offers a wide variety of delicious frozen treats, from classic soft serve to specialty creations like the churro split. But their superpower is their sundaes. At the counter near the entrance, you’re invited to build your own dessert. But just get one of their signature creations because they’re tough to top.
Try our favorite, the massive banana split—a pile of ice cream with hot fudge, whipped cream, and cherries in a boat dish. There are benches outside to enjoy your treat on-site, but most people grab and go here, especially during those busy summer evenings when lines can form.
