Commerce is a town where railroad history whispers through brick facades, new eateries bloom like spring dogwoods, and finding parking feels like solving a puzzle. We’ve watched the old depot become a brewery and recall when Main Street rolled up its sidewalks at dusk. Let us steer you to Commerce’s finest barbecue, Southern comfort, and international flavors—it’s simpler than parallel parking on a Saturday night.
Bojangles
$ | (706) 336-5852 | WEBSITE

Bojangles is a fast food spot in Commerce that serves breakfast all day and hits all the right notes. This place works great for tons of occasions. You can grab a full meal or a quick bite on the go without ruining your appetite for dinner later. From opening until close, all the food is fresh and hot, and you can get a combo with a drink for around $8 or a kids’ meal with a blueberry cookie for about $5.
It’s also a great choice for a family stop, where you can enjoy the welcoming atmosphere and watch the friendly, professional staff go the extra mile. Sit at a clean table and watch the team serve up correct food that one customer said ‘slaps.’ The place is clean and bright enough to feel like a standout fast food destination.
Little Caesars Pizza
$ | (706) 335-0133 | WEBSITE

Before it was a staple in Commerce, Little Caesars built its reputation on feeding families who didn’t want to heat up their own ovens. Now, it’s a pizza joint that specializes in cheesy pies loaded with toppings. The restaurant offers good parking and wheelchair access, which makes it easy for everyone to pop in. They don’t take phone orders sometimes, but it’s worth stopping by for their fresh-out-the-oven pizza. The pizza is (of course) loaded with cheese and comes out quickly even when busy.
In fact, everything here is made efficiently to meet demand. The slices are satisfyingly thick with generous toppings, and the crust holds up well under all that cheese.
Dos Bros Kitchen
$ | (706) 520-0473 | WEBSITE

Dos Bros Kitchen is pretty much the most perfect casual Mexican spot that a hungry person in Commerce could ask for. This welcoming place feels more like a cozy neighborhood hangout than your average crowded chain restaurant. The beers are always cold and so is the food, which includes standout appetizers, vegetarian options, and really tasty tacos—which is what you want to get here. The birria tacos are a safe choice and come with marinated roast beef, cilantro, and onions.
Just know that they may lack entertainment options for kids, so don’t come here expecting a playground.
Outback Steakhouse
$$ | (706) 423-0022 | WEBSITE

To talk about Outback Steakhouse, we need to talk about the classic steakhouse experience your family probably loved. It’s stubbornly reliable and famous among people who go gaga over perfectly cooked meat. When you walk in, the welcoming atmosphere accommodates large parties seamlessly, while friendly, efficient staff make celebrations feel effortless.
Here, skilled chefs lead seamlessly into delightful servers, while amazing food and quick service are friendly allies on a comfortable table setting. It’s a move that could only make sense in a town like Commerce, where a repeat destination was built on a foundation of customer satisfaction.
Dairy Queen Grill & Chill
$ | (706) 335-0555 | WEBSITE

This 50-seat Commerce counter—constructed out of the cleanest surfaces you’ve ever seen—is a great choice for a person’s first family-friendly fast-casual meal. The 20-minute visit is a delicious demonstration of the reasons one pays $12 for a burger. The Double Bacon Cheeseburger is a satisfying mix of fresh ingredients. The meal always includes perfectly toasted buns that will ensure you never look at a fast-food patty the same way again.
But Dairy Queen also does enough to impress a burger veteran, particularly one looking for a more straightforward meal that doesn’t lean too heavily on complicated sauces and gimmicky toppings.
Five Guys
$ | (706) 335-0955 | WEBSITE

Commerce has its share of fast food joints, some forgettable, some downright disappointing. But you can mark Five Guys down as one of the reliable ones. Like any proper burger spot, they’ve got great, juicy burgers made to order. But there’s also the highlight of crispy, perfectly seasoned fries that come in generous portions. This place is casual enough to grab a quick lunch with colleagues after a morning of meetings, yet satisfying enough for a classic American meal craving.
The atmosphere can get loud, making ordering a bit challenging at peak times, but the staff is generally friendly and efficient. While vegetarians might find the options limited—mainly a grilled cheese or veggie sandwich without a patty—burger lovers will appreciate the wide range of free toppings for customization. Overall, it’s a solid spot for a no-fuss, tasty bite, especially if you’re in the mood for a fresh burger and fries.
Dunkin’
$ | (706) 423-0039 | WEBSITE

Dunkin’ in Athens, Georgia, is a coffee shop where mornings always include convenience and cheer. It’s why your neighbors like it, but also why you should stop if you’re very tired of pretentious cafés. It’s one of the friendliest spots in Commerce thanks to bright lighting and consistent cleanliness that turns hectic mornings into smooth routines.
Dunkin’s hot caramel macchiato is rich and comes with a smiling employee’s care, but the highlight of this drink is a perfect caramel drizzle that needs to be in every sip. Then there’s the avocado toast you could photograph for your feed, which is served on crisp multigrain bread. For a quick bite, go with the crispy hash browns.
Culver’s
$ | (706) 336-5951 | WEBSITE

Culver’s is the fast-casual cousin of those fancy burger joints that charge $20 for a patty and fries. But Culver’s does a great job at delivering genuine quality without the pretense. Menus are straightforward, you might hear classic rock over the speakers, and the combos don’t break $15. Still, there’s a comforting reliability to Culver’s. It’s in a clean, modern building and has a tidy dining room that hits that practical sweet spot between welcoming and efficient.
The food is very good—but the butter burgers are the best part of the menu, and if the onion rings are available (they’re always fresh), get them. They are guaranteed to shift the table’s conversation to the topic of how unbelievably crunchy and golden brown those onion rings are.
LongHorn Steakhouse
$$ | (706) 336-6632 | WEBSITE

You will stare at every one of LongHorn Steakhouse’s plates the way a hungry traveler stares at a roadside diner sign after eight hours on the highway. Just about everything here is satisfying. The ribeye steak is perfectly tender, and the hand-breaded chicken tenders with well-seasoned fries are great too. There are some excellent non-steak dishes as well. Specifically, the steakhouse mac-n-cheese.
It’s creamy pasta covered by a golden layer of melted cheese, crispy breadcrumbs, and a single pat of butter on top. This place also has lots of easy parking where you can watch a steady stream of cars and families.
Hunt Brothers Pizza
$ | (706) 423-0041 | WEBSITE

Hunt Brothers Pizza is a quintessential neighborhood pizza joint. If your childhood weekends involved grabbing a quick slice after little league, you’ll probably run into familiar faces here. But it’s worth the drive if you’re not a Commerce resident. Hunt Brothers’ menu—straightforward and satisfying—is not beholden to pizza chain norms. Breakfast pizza with loyal fans, quality dough, generous sauce, and melty cheese are all roommates here.
It’s affordable, consistent, and delicious wrapped up neatly in one box, which makes it perfect for someone who has no idea when they’ll be able to sit down for a meal. All that, plus a no-frills counter setup that feels like the kitchen of a friend who knows exactly what makes a good pizza.
Fireball Wings & Philly
$ | (706) 336-6975 | WEBSITE

Fireball Wings & Philly is a gas station spot that knows exactly what Commerce wants: to feel like you’ve found a hidden treasure, but not at the cost of overpriced and underwhelming wings. It’s attached to a convenience store and run by the same team. So expect cool, friendly staff to hand you free ice when you need it and quick service that feels like they read your mind. But Fireball impresses most with its excellent takes on classic comfort dishes.
Go for the renowned lemon pepper wings, Philly cheesesteaks that satisfy every craving, and fried rice everyone wants on their side of the table.
Blazers Hot Wings
$ | (706) 336-0050 | WEBSITE

It’s easy to describe the food at this local spot in Commerce—a place where crispy wings and Southern flavors meet. It’s even easier to say who this food is for: people who keep wing sauce stains on their shirts and get excited about perfectly cooked chicken. If you’re one of those people, come here for the $12 wing platter, one of Commerce’s most satisfying ones.
It’s a generous portion full of totally delicious flavors like Cajun dry rub with its spices clinging to every bite, Sweet Ginger wings with their glaze shimmering like honey, and Lemon Pepper chicken you have to tear into to enjoy the tender meat beneath the crispy coating. It’s all flavorfully satisfying, but Blazers also backs it up with exceptional service and clean preparation.
They have customized cooking options as well, but some of those methods are extra crispy or just right, so come here ready for the full wing experience.
El Parian Mexican Bar & Grill
$ | (706) 335-5204 | WEBSITE

El Parian Mexican Bar & Grill is very much its own world. It hums when the mariachi music plays, and the colorful walls seem to warm when the salsa arrives. It’s alive—with flavor and tradition. And also generosity. Their very satisfying menu features Pollo Chipotle, vegetarian options, and a variety of salsas with both family-friendly and group seating.
It’s a lovely spot to settle in with a hearty meal, a margarita, and good company—or a great place to celebrate while you attempt to absorb the vibrant atmosphere through every bite. They have an amazing selection of dishes, complete with generous portions, so you can pretend you’re in a bustling Mexican plaza savoring your way from appetizers to leftovers for the next day after you dine. Also, check out their consistent quality for years of local favorite status and welcoming ambiance.
Starbucks
$ | (706) 335-7689 | WEBSITE

Starbucks offers a range of drinks, but some customers were disappointed by the lack of advertised promotions. Despite this, the staff received praise for their excellent service. The issue of environmental impact was also raised, with a suggestion for Starbucks to consider more eco-friendly policies. We’re not totally sure how to categorize this place, so we’ll just call it what it is: a reliable stop. Coming here never feels like a hassle.
The drinks are always consistent, you don’t need to plan your visit weeks in advance, service is friendly, and casually browsing their drink menu is the perfect way to start your day.
Fuddruckers
$ | (706) 335-4920 | WEBSITE

This is the Swiss Army knife of restaurants. It’s not quite a gourmet burger joint, but it scratches that itch if you’re craving a quality patty on a good bun. If you want more of a customizable experience, they’ve got a toppings bar that’ll satisfy you like a kid in a candy store. And regardless of whether you’re grabbing a quick lunch or bringing the whole family, service is going to be friendly. Is Fuddruckers more expensive than a fast-food chain?
Slightly, but they’re serving well-seasoned fries and diverse options like ostrich and elk in a clean, unpretentious environment suitable for lots of occasions. It’s hard to find a restaurant like that in Commerce.
Cherry Street Nutrition, in Commerce Ga
$ | (706) 335-9190 | WEBSITE

It’s impossible to talk about Cherry Street Nutrition without mentioning the friendly staff, whose knowledge and warmth have made it a community staple since it opened. But that spirit of genuine care is still there. At this refreshing beverage spot, you’re treated with helpful guidance, whether you’re a regular or a first-timer—but if they do recognize you, service is so attentive they probably remember your usual order. Our favorite drink is the custom protein shake.
It’s not a standard menu item, but they can blend it any way you prefer. The place has a clean, bright layout: a welcoming counter area with natural lighting and a cozy seating nook. It’s a delightful escape—with a calm, unhurried atmosphere—but a welcome one that lets you focus on your drink without distraction.
Taqueria Mi Jalisco
$ | (706) 423-9852 | WEBSITE

Taqueria Mi Jalisco is one of the absolute best restaurants in Commerce, and also the spot you should hit when you’re going to scream if you see one more bland burrito on a menu. The food here is unlike anything else in the area. Classic dishes are rooted in authentic Mexican flavors, but you’ll always find steak tacos and a chicken quesadilla that made us forget everything we learned in kindergarten about sharing.
And because the portions are so generous, dinner here is still satisfying even if you come on a weekly basis. Taqueria Mi Jalisco has not only managed to breathe fresh air into Commerce, but all of Jackson County.
Waffle House
$ | (706) 335-6518 | WEBSITE

Waffle House in Commerce is a diner—a real American diner, where the focus is entirely on the reliable comfort food listed on the laminated menu, and the cook flips your hashbrowns like a seasoned conductor at a morning rehearsal. Between bites, the Formica tabletop will tell the story of a good meal—with buttery smears from crispy hashbrowns, a scattering of scrambled egg crumbs, and drops of maple syrup.
You’re coming here for a quick, satisfying, and family-friendly meal—which you’ll get whether you order the classic $5 hashbrowns or a hearty breakfast platter for $12. Sit under the gentle glow of Waffle House’s fluorescent lighting and be sure to finish an early morning visit with the coffee that’s hot, strong, and served in a thick ceramic mug.
La Hacienda Mexican Restaurant
$ | (706) 335-7458 | WEBSITE

By now, most of Commerce knows the appeal of grabbing Mexican food from La Hacienda. But their spot in town leans into the experience: the dining room feels spacious, and the kitchen should drop the “fast” because it’s consistently quick. The restaurant is a bit more polished, with warm terracotta walls, sturdy wooden booths, and patterned tile floors. Nothing on this menu has shifted, but the dishes taste even fresher here.
You order at your table, chat with the friendly staff, settle in, and they’ll bring your meal to you. Much like its reliable reputation, the place is calmly pleasant and understandably so. We’d call La Hacienda a solid Mexican option in Commerce, and that’s still very true for this visit.
