In Revere, locals debate their next meal before the last bite is gone. We all keep evolving lists of go-tos and fresh arrivals. Here are the 15 spots we return to—and rave about—most.
F&J JUICE BAR CAFE
$ | (339) 226-3723 | WEBSITE

It’s impossible not to glance at the colorful glasses and plates around you when stopping by F&J Juice Bar Cafe, a Revere spot with a cozy, super cute interior. There are so many fresh juices and delicious sandwiches worth trying that menu envy becomes a common feeling. Not to mention that the portions are generous and the wafer with arequipe and Revere cheese so satisfying, it’s almost certain you’ll want to take some home.
Here’s a perfect order: start with a tropical smoothie, a fresh-pressed green juice, and one of their natural sandwiches, then get a side of that incredible wafer with arequipe and Revere cheese. Embrace the pampering experience and finish things off with another smoothie, and maybe even a fresh juice to go.
Nicks Place (On the Beach)
$$ | (781) 284-9438 | WEBSITE

Nick’s Place is one of the most satisfying spots in Revere. It’s a beachfront pizza joint where the kitchen serves generous, delicious pies that make up for the slightly higher price tag. Not only that, but you’re right there with the ocean view for every bite, enjoying the busy but friendly atmosphere created by the welcoming staff. It’s a go-to restaurant that will probably fill you up completely, while also simultaneously being a delight.
Tulum taqueria
$ | (617) 898-0998 | WEBSITE

Taqueria Colima serves our favorite tacos in Revere (yes, even better than the places downtown). If it’s your first visit, try the quintessential al pastor, which comes with fresh pineapple, onion, cilantro, and a squeeze of lime on warm corn tortillas. They also offer a chicken quesadilla that’s equally good, made with perfectly grilled chicken, melted cheese, and just the right amount of crisp on the outside. You can also get really quality Mexican staples, fresh salsas, and satisfying plates.
Did we mention there’s also a stunning ocean view straight ahead and the sound of waves that makes every meal feel like a mini-vacation?
Dandee Donut Factory
$ | (339) 226-3799 | WEBSITE

There are many Revere restaurants with cozy atmospheres, but none quite like Dandee Donut Factory, which offers a wide range of menu options and serves its famous gourmet donuts to locals and visitors alike. Get a baker’s dozen of those donuts for yourself while you enjoy the friendly staff and great atmosphere.
On any morning, they do breakfast sandwiches that are hearty and made to order, a traditional preparation of the morning meal made with fresh ingredients and plenty of flavor or without if you prefer it simpler. The coffee is always fresh, and the price for an omelette is very reasonable.
Las Delicias Colombianas Inc
$$ | (781) 286-7600 | WEBSITE

Las Delicias Colombianas Inc is one of the best Colombian restaurants in town. It’s a great place to bring the family, eat La bandeja paisa, and soak up some vibrant Latin energy. Beyond that signature dish, we love the variety of authentic Colombian plates—basically anything that leans into the flavorful and beautifully presented dishes they do really well.
If you’re around Revere and need a cozy spot with lively music and a warm atmosphere, hang out at the back lounge area, which is just as charming as the rest of the modern dining room.
Cancun Pizza
$ | (781) 289-8249 | WEBSITE

Cancun Pizza is a spot where you can get Mexican-American fare and linger with a couple of friends for a while and not feel like you’re part of a large march of tourists (unlike other classic pizza joints, which turn tables much faster). The dining room, filled with warm lighting and more casual charm than a neighborhood hangout, is where you want to be.
It feels like your own secret little spot where you can eat steak fajitas, tacos, and bar pies that are always cooked perfectly with crispy edges.
Volare
$$ | (781) 629-4762 | WEBSITE

Volare is where you go when you want to feel good about your night out, because everyone from the neighborhood seems to be there. Your old friend is at a booth sharing steak tips with their partner, a couple you recognize from the gym is at the bar sipping on great cocktails, and someone you used to see around town is near the entrance when you walk in. Plus, this welcoming (and reliably good) Italian spot has almost too many comforting dishes here to pick from.
Go with the ossobuco that’s cooked until it falls apart, and some chicken parmigiana with a nice crispy coating, and plenty of marinara, cheese, and fresh herbs.
La Hacienda Revere
$$ | (781) 629-3151 | WEBSITE

La Hacienda Revere is where you can get Mexican dishes you won’t find elsewhere in or around the city. Yes, burritos, tacos, and soups are on the menu. But we’re talking about things like the mocajete for two, a sizzling stone bowl of grilled meats, fresh vegetables, and melted cheese. Or, the michelada, which consists of a spicy beer cocktail with lime and savory seasonings.
There’s almost no better evening move than hanging out in their big, casual dining room with any of the above dishes and a cold Mexican beer.
Murray’s Tavern
$$ | (781) 629-6122 | WEBSITE

Boston has plenty of taverns, but there’s something magical about Murray’s in Revere. Maybe it’s because it feels like it’s been there forever: it was originally a neighborhood spot, then gained popularity, and finally became this gorgeous corner brick and mortar. Regardless, it’s one of our top group dinner spots in the city.
Sure, going solo for a cocktail and bowl of clam chowder is cool and all, but it’s better to go with friends so you can share all the great appetizers, like the Tuna Tar Tare, the excellent pretzel crusted chicken, and the phenomenal fish and chips. Everybody should get their own entree, like the Crispy Pork Tacos, the 14oz Bone In Pork Chop, or anything from the seafood portion of the menu. And the seasonal specials are always great. See octopus? Order it. See pork chop? You got this.
Flaming Grill and Buffet
$ | (781) 289-8888 | WEBSITE

Flaming Grill and Buffet is our pick for the best casual meal in Revere. If you’re looking for variety on a budget, use their mayo shrimp-loaded buffet plate to fuel up for a day exploring the North Shore. It’s also completely worth it to go out of your way to try their fresh broccoli and salad options. The space is clean with plenty of seating, but it’s never super crowded, so you can relax over a satisfying lunch while soft music plays in the background.
The Marina At The Wharf
$$ | (781) 629-3798 | WEBSITE

When you want to enjoy waterfront dining that’s more relaxed (and far less pretentious than what you’ll find at other marina spots), head to The Marina At The Wharf. Focus on the highlights—last time we visited we had the arancini and tacos, both delicious choices that came to around $25 total. The Sunday Brunch is also always a winner, especially since it offers such a wide variety of tasty options, including mimosas and desserts.
Throw in the complimentary bread with parmesan oil and the attentive service from the friendly owners and waitstaff, and you’ll have a thoroughly satisfying experience. Say hi to the owners if you’re there on weekends—they often circulate in the outdoor terrace area, and might even stop by your table to ensure everything’s perfect.
Dunkin’
$ | (781) 286-9287 | WEBSITE

No one is having more fun than the folks behind the counter at Dunkin’. This reliable spot is inside a standard strip mall right along Squire Road in Revere. (Don’t be distracted by the 24/7 sign out front—you’re in the right place.) You can experience this place two ways: stop by for a cup or carafe of something caffeinated in the dining area up front, or buckle up for a quick, walk-in-only, 3-item breakfast order. Both options are perfect, but plan to stay brief either way.
The menu is always available, but think brewing, toasting, icing, frying—anything that can be done to get the most out of consistent, familiar ingredients. One visit that might mean coffee brewed fresh hourly, or toasted bagels with cream cheese another.
Bridge Pizzeria
$ | (781) 324-1778 | WEBSITE

Our weeks can be split into two distinct time periods: before we discovered the half-price pizza Mondays at Bridge Pizzeria, and after. These crispy, generously topped pies are worth a visit alone, but you should definitely throw in the buffalo chicken wings, too—theirs are some of the best in the area. Bridge Pizzeria is open for lunch and dinner, and it’s a pretty spacious spot where you can almost always find a table.
We also love the accessibility behind the restaurant: they accept food stamps and provide wheelchair access, making great food available to everyone in the community.
Kell’s Kreme
$ | (781) 289-2892 | WEBSITE

Revere Beach is undoubtedly an ice cream destination, but most places do the same type of cones, along with the same flavors—we’re talking about you, vanilla with rainbow sprinkles or chocolate with a few cookie crumbs mixed in. Even though that’s lovely, Kell’s Kreme is where you come for classic ice cream treats with scoops that were probably churned that morning.
Among the most impressive of the consistent options are ones that satisfy any craving, like the creamy butterscotch or the chocolate topped with black jimmies. Grab a cone near the scenic beachfront, do some prime Revere Beach people-watching, and always end your visit with a large serving that’s worth every penny of the reasonable price.
Nick’s Bistro Revere
$ | (781) 284-9400 | WEBSITE

The biggest draw in Revere might be the beach, but we’d like to start a petition to change that to Nick’s Bistro Revere (and yes, we think this restaurant qualifies as a destination). They really rep comfort food hard with large portions, homemade salad dressing, and amazing chicken shish kebab salad, mashed potato pizza, and great pizza on Monday nights.
They did all these dishes when they were a neighborhood spot, but at their current location, they also have tasty ribs and the “Beat the Clock” deal to love. The food is like none other in the area, using fresh ingredients and recipes straight from their kitchen. Try the chicken shish kebab salad and have a slice of mashed potato pizza for dessert.
