No corner of the Hudson Valley better captures everything “Corfu-y” about Corfu than its charming outskirts. Where else can you savor farm-to-table fare, watch the sunset over rolling vineyards, and plan your next orchard visit without ever taking enough steps for your Apple Watch to ask “are you still eating?”
Subway
$ | (585) 599-3999 | WEBSITE

A Corfu staple, Subway has been around for years. People have been coming to this sandwich spot for a long time, for everything from quick lunches and family dinners to after-school snacks. It’s especially nice when you’re in a hurry. The menu stays pretty consistent, but you’ll find great salads and vegetarian options, along with fresh ingredients and amazing sandwiches.
The restaurant is super clean and kid-friendly, but our favorite feature remains the ample parking, where we’ll happily grab a sandwich made with that fresh bread.
Bistro 93
$$ | (716) 442-5363 | WEBSITE

Bistro 93 is exactly the kind of hidden gem you might stumble upon in a small town—complete with homemade pies, hearty pasta dishes, and the requisite lamb special—with the occasional exotic twist, like the mahi-mahi (basically a tropical version of a comfort meal). The restaurant doesn’t take reservations for lunch—so show up early or expect to wait a bit during peak hours—but you can pass the time chatting with the accommodating staff or admiring the casual, warm atmosphere.
They’re also open in the evening, too, but dinner here doesn’t have the same bustling energy about it.
Guy’s Subs
$ | (716) 542-4688 | WEBSITE

The first thing you’ll notice about this sub shop is the building. It’s a simple brick structure with wide doors and a parking lot out front, but you’d never guess it’s been a local favorite for decades. The space feels welcoming and familiar—the type of place that has its regulars who’ve been coming in every week for subs since they were kids.
Grab one of the excellent steak and cheese subs—made with perfectly toasted bread that holds everything together, and just the right amount of that signature sub oil—or lean fully into their vegetarian options with the veggie burger sub, loaded with mushrooms and fried onions.
Prospector
$ | (585) 591-2474 | WEBSITE

Essentially a cozy cafe tucked inside a historic bank building, Prospector is a perfect spot to settle in for a while with a Southern sweet tea or one of their generously portioned croissant sandwiches. The vibe’s exactly what you’d hope for from a downtown Attica eatery—friendly service, reasonable prices, and that unmistakable local charm—but that’s not the whole story.
You’re here to soak up the warm atmosphere, enjoy a hearty meal with extra home fries, and to appreciate the character of this cash-only gem that draws both visitors and regulars. Then, maybe plan your next visit.
Indian Falls Log Cabin
$ | (585) 762-8422 | WEBSITE

There’s a lot of hometown friendliness going on here—and the views of the falls from inside or outside are a definite highlight—but when you’re in the mood for some solid American fare that you don’t have to book weeks in advance, this is your spot. There’s also a fun patio when it’s open, where you can enjoy good music and drinks with that beautiful waterfall backdrop.

The dining area is clean and generally quiet, making it a pleasant spot for a meal, though some booth cushions could use repair. The Vintage Cow Farmers Market
$$ | (585) 773-3284 | WEBSITE

That rustic charm enhances the cheeseburgers, which are already a perfect mix of juicy and grilled. Boldly located just outside Corfu, this daytime destination gets packed on the weekends, so grab a spot at a picnic table and dig into their spins on classics like fried cheese curds (served with sweet chili sauce).

And then there’s the seating area around the service station, with tables scattered throughout the space that offer a place to rest during travel. You’ll usually see a good mix of families grabbing quick meals, solo travelers taking a break, and people happy because they’re getting food.
It’s also home to some of the service station’s best quick-service options, including Panera Bread for reliable salads and sandwiches.
Akron China King
$ | (716) 542-6857 | WEBSITE

When people think of Corfu’s Chinese food scene, they’re probably thinking of someplace like Akron China King, one of the family-run mainstays that has avoided its area’s chain-restaurant takeover. Most orders don’t require advance planning—just a $15 average per entrée, and sometimes not even that (unless you’re feeding a whole family). A single meal’s lineup might include beef lo mein, egg rolls, and sweet and sour chicken.
Grab some chopsticks and soak up the warm, bustling ambiance of a place that belongs in a neighborhood food lover’s dreams.
