The places on this list deliver when it comes to ceviche, grilled octopus, and spicy shrimp (that is actually a little spicy). And most of the spots are, naturally, seafood restaurants.
Los Roques Gourmet

Everything we’ve said about the delicious Venezuelan food at Los Roques Gourmet holds true for its warm, homemade taste. This restaurant with its clean environment is the opposite of inconsistent, but it’s a fantastic choice if you’re craving excellent seafood and want to feel transported to a beautiful country. The dishes on the special menu rotate, but we’ve yet to find a bad one. Definitely get the fried snapper, a longtime staple that’s also one of the best seafood dishes in Doral.
Cocinas de Doral

You’ll find Cocinas de Doral’s delicious empanadas tucked away in a bustling Doral plaza.
And their variety of food options, from classic beef empanadas to creative vegetarian versions (these flaky pockets are as excellent as the concept), strongly place this spot in the category of restaurants called “I Wish This Was My Go-To Takeout.” Along with their multiple-restaurants-in-one-location setup, they also have a waiting area that could use some improvements in seating and ambiance if you prefer to grab your order with a side of comfort.
Sushi Runner Doral

This cozy Doral spot specializes in delicious sushi, and you can watch them prepare it in their open kitchen area. Order the popular 3×2 special, lunch specials, or any of their large sushi rolls, and then grab a table. Whichever sushi you choose, throw in some of their appetizers to go with it. Also worth noting: There’s a calm dining atmosphere if you want a seat close to the sushi-making process.
Kuba Cabana

If you have a Havana-shaped hole in your heart, Kuba Cabana is here to fill it. This vibrant Doral spot has a diverse menu of Cuban classics (that stay consistently delicious) available for scenic outdoor seating or indoor dining. One night might feature churrasco with tamal, another might showcase fried whole snapper with tuna tartare croquettes. We’ve yet to have something here that wasn’t spectacular.
Just come prepared—they have that infectious salsa vibe with live music in the evenings and a parking garage right next door.
Mi Lindo Ecuador

Ask a random person in Miami to name a classic Ecuadorian restaurant, and there’s a good chance they’ll say Mi Lindo Ecuador in Doral. It’s a neighborhood spot with warm lighting, colorful artwork on the wall, and, most importantly, delicious plates of seafood and grilled meats. This place is ideal for a casual dinner with friends or an all-out Ecuadorian feast. Put it at the top of your hidden-gem bucket list and get the Seafood Rice with its rich flavors and a little spicy kick.
Divino Ceviche

Fresh, vibrant, and bold are all words we’ve used to describe the ceviches at this Doral seafood spot. Their classic ceviche mixto comes with an incredible bright citrusy marinade and tender seafood pieces, and their Amazonico ceviche with exotic fruits will make you question the validity of your previous ceviche experiences.
Giorgiomare Miami

This inviting Italian spot near Miami hotels only has a handful of standout dishes, but all of them are memorable. Their rich Gnocchi Zucchini E Zafferano with saffron cream sauce is the type of pasta we might plan our week around. Their Spaghetti Ai Frutti Di Mare might make purists question tradition, but that just means more perfectly cooked seafood, savory broth, and fresh herbs for us.
The unique options are also inventive and fun, like the Paella di Quinoa with peas and Tenerezza Con Piselli. With reasonable prices around $18-24 for pastas and attentive owner Claudio ensuring a lively atmosphere, it’s exactly what you want from a neighborhood Italian restaurant.
Cancun Grill Doral

With its vibrant hacienda-style space, excellent view of the bustling Doral streets, big family tables, and prime location in the heart of the city, this Mexican spot is ideal for a Big Taco Night Out. More classic-leaning dishes like the all-you-can-eat tacos or spicy marinated meats are excellent. But save some table space for the less common ones—we wouldn’t shut up about Cancun Grill’s Sunday buffet with live mariachi band for weeks.
Garage Cafe Bistro

Garage Cafe Bistro in Doral is casual enough for a quick lunch, but also inviting enough that your whole family can gather there to celebrate finishing a long week. Order any of the burgers (the smash burger is delicious) and a sandwich like the Calle 8. This also happens to be one of the only spots in the area with a patio deck worth going out of your way for.
The Fatty Crab

The Fatty Crab in Doral is one of our top-rated seafood spots in Miami, and their Cajun dishes are a big reason why. All of their seafood plates are incredible, whether you’re getting a basket of crispy Cajun shrimp for yourself or taking down a massive seafood boil combo with friends (the spicy blend of shrimp, crab, and sausage warrants reinforcements).
Plus, if you’re there on Endless Cajun Tuesdays, you get a front row view of the staff serving up endless plates of Shrimp Po Boys and Jambalaya rice that’ll inspire you to immediately plan another visit.
