Let’s address the persistent myth that Redmond’s steakhouses are all either overpriced temples of excess or tired chains. We’ve heard it whispered—and maybe even contributed to the chatter—but today we’re setting the record straight with ten spots that deliver both exceptional quality and genuine value.
Daniel’s Broiler
$$$$ | (425) 462-4662 | WEBSITE

You just watched the sun dip behind the Seattle skyline from a window table that probably costs more than your monthly car payment. Welcome to Daniel’s Broiler. Now settle in – no, get comfortable – because this place serves premium steaks with a view that could make a postcard jealous. Dinner here is so far from being casual or budget-friendly that you can drop serious cash without worrying the sommelier will bat an eye at your wine selection.
You should definitely try their filet steak flight, but you need their Brussels sprouts on your plate. They’re the best we’ve had in Redmond.
John Howie Steak
$$$$ | (425) 440-0880 | WEBSITE

Try and make steakhouse dining pretentious. Go on Redmond, we dare ya. This premier destination is tucked away in the city and has an elegant yet welcoming dining room that’s perfect for a sit-down session of filet mignon, otherwise you can just savor the American Wagyu Beef ‘Long Bone’ Rib Eye with a side of mac and cheese.
This place is always a good option to have in your back pocket when you want to keep things refined and celebratory out east, but be warned this place gets busy at peak times.
STK Steakhouse
$$$$ | (425) 209-1016 | WEBSITE

You’ve just endured the corporate sprawl of Redmond for what feels like an eternity and now you need a proper escape. STK Steakhouse is your destination. This place has a fun, artistic vibe, but the cooking is seriously classic, and the spectacular steakhouse experience comes at prices that feel surprisingly reasonable for the quality. Go for the $69 steak dinner for an amazing value, or swing by with a date or your friends for a night out.
Matts’ Rotisserie & Oyster Lounge
$$ | (425) 376-0909 | WEBSITE

Matts’ Rotisserie & Oyster Lounge is from the team behind some of Redmond’s favorite spots – a.k.a., the people on a not-so-secret mission to make casual dining delicious. This is a locally owned restaurant which is a literal haven for those craving quality proteins and fresh seafood.
There are also standout dishes throughout the menu, which you can enjoy in the dining room or grab during happy hour: crispy chicken sandwiches from the rotisserie, prime rib dips with au jus, artichoke and Dungeness crab starters, and oysters properly prepared on ice. Coming here on a weekend evening without expecting a wait is not a great idea, so be sure to plan for the warm atmosphere and attentive service.
Flat Iron Grill
$$$ | (425) 657-0373 | WEBSITE

You’ve been wandering Redmond’s tech corridors for what feels like hours, but instead of dreaming up the next big app, you’re dreaming about steak. Fortunately, nearby spot Flat Iron Grill does excellent steaks and hearty American classics at fair prices. The $28 happy hour from 2-6 pm covers everything from burgers to small plates, which keeps the industrial-meets-ranch dining room buzzing, so if you want to snag a booth, arrive before the crowd.
You may not be revolutionizing the industry today, but at least you’ll be treating yourself to some seriously good food.
Jak’s Grill
$$$ | (425) 837-8834 | WEBSITE

When you think of Redmond you’ll probably think about tech campuses, suburban sprawl, and people who debate microbrews more passionately than politics. And cars that cost more than your first house too. Jak’s Grill is a classic steakhouse that you should absolutely visit when you’re craving serious meat. This place has perfectly cooked steaks like the NY Strip and the massive 32 oz.
Porterhouse for two, a straightforward menu of quality cuts paired with delicious cocktails, as well as classics like seasonal cheesecake for dessert. Don’t miss their exceptional service that makes the whole experience feel like a genuine value compared to other fancy spots around town.
Ascend Prime Steak & Sushi
$$$$ | (425) 625-2080 | WEBSITE

Ascend Prime Steak & Sushi occupies the 32nd floor of a Redmond high-rise, but we’re going to give the steakhouse credit for having one of the best dining experiences in the area, because the view already claims the skyline and doesn’t need this win. You’ve encountered fine dining similar to Ascend’s all over the Pacific Northwest by now, but this place was actually one of the first to pair this level of service with such breathtaking elevation in Redmond.
Come for a special occasion, come for the Wagyu rib, come prepared to spend a little more because the experience is actually worth every dollar.
Outback Steakhouse
$$ | (425) 486-7340 | WEBSITE

Maybe you’re in Redmond for a tech conference. Or maybe you’re here to check out the Microsoft campus. Or maybe you live in one of those quiet suburban neighborhoods because you work at one of the big companies nearby. If it’s the latter then please DM us your stock options strategy and whether you prefer working from home or the office, cheers.
Anyway, Outback Steakhouse is a reliable chain steakhouse spot that’s perfect for family dinners, casual celebrations, and for eating some really satisfying bone-in ribeye with garlic butter alongside their generous mashed potatoes. Don’t worry, there’s also enough warm pumpernickel bread, friendly waitstaff, and comfortable booth seating to feel like you’re getting exactly what you came for.
Prime Steakhouse Redmond
$$$ | (425) 376-2683 | WEBSITE

There’s no mistaking that you’re in Redmond when you dine at Prime Steakhouse Redmond. This spot sits in a quiet local setting, with an inviting ambiance that feels just right for the area. The interior is less polished and a lot more straightforward than you might expect from a steakhouse—there’s even a back section booth that feels a bit isolated without proper lighting or window coverings, which the practical diner you’ve probably been dining with all evening will notice.
The simple steakhouse menu has a good variety of options, including the popular filet steak cooked to order, and while it may not be the absolute best in Redmond, the whole experience of eating here is so fresh and well-priced that you’re bound to leave with a much fonder feeling about the neighborhood as a whole.
El Gaucho Bellevue
$$$$ | (425) 455-2715 | WEBSITE

Not only will you not feel like you’re in Redmond at El Gaucho Bellevue, you also won’t feel like you’re in Washington anymore. This spot in Bellevue is a classy space, with plenty of dark wood accents, an open kitchen, and more Bananas Foster Flambe than that time you tried to celebrate your birthday on the cheap. Their high-end steakhouse dishes are perfect for special occasions, with plenty of Tenderloin Diablo, Seared Sea Scallops, and Wicked Shrimp.
Just don’t go too heavy on the exquisite drinks, unless you want to explain to your colleagues why you tweeted ‘#CELEBRATION2K26’ at 9pm on a Wednesday evening.
